Dear David Archuleta,
I am in in love with this song! I have had it on replay in my car for the past 2 days straight, and I drive at least 40 min a day. When I listen to it I also belt it out but I replace the words "she" with "he", and "beautiful" with "handsome". Can you tell that I am still searching for my kind of perfect?

My Kind of Perfect - David Archuleta
I was thinkin' about ya
I drew a little picture
But some things you can't put on paper
Like ya like shooting stars
Or write songs on guitar
Got more things to do than stare at a mirror
And I know I know,
He's gotta be out there, out there
I know, I know, he's gotta be
Maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm right
Maybe I'll just let you walk by
What can I say, maybe I've known you all my life
Is he the one, is it today
Will I turn the corner, see my future
In a handsome face
Maybe
He's anything but typical
A sweet suprise
No matter what she's looking at the brightside
It's gonna be worth it
Cos that's what love it's
I'll keep searching for my kind of perfect!
And I know, I know, he's gotta be out there, out there
I know I know, he's gotta be.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right, maybe I just let you walk by
What can I say, maybe I've known you all my life
Is he the one, is it today
Will I turn the corner, see my future, in a beautiful face
Maybe
They say, give it time, give it time and it will fall in line
But I keep wondering how and when and why I haven't met you...
But maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right
Ooohhhhh
Is he the one is it today
Will I turn the corner
See my future, in a handsome face
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right
Maybe I just let you walk by
What can I say
Maybe I've known you all my life
Is he the one, is it today
Will I turn the corner, see my future
In a handsome face
Maybe ohh maybe yeah
I'll keep searching for my kind of perfect.

I am not in Rexbug anymore...
So, we have volleyball nights on Monday after FHE, and then we always go to Wendy's after and get frosty's. This was like any other Monday night until we hear a ton of cop cars heading our way. (We usually go to Wendy's after it has closed and only the drive-through is open. We end up parking, sitting outside and eating.) The cop cars pull into Wendy's and block our cars, and yell at the people in the car that they were chasing to get out! Oh man, at this point we were freaking out just a little. A big white woman gets out and the big black man that was driving tries to get away but doesn't because there are literally 12 police men surrounding him with their guns pointed. Man can I tell you I could have peed my pants right then. This is only something that is on the TV! And we witnessed it in real life. They must have been chasing those people for a while because the cops were from Benecia and we were in Concord. They were both double handcuffed and then were sent on their way to sleep on nice cold, hard beds behind bars.We could only leave once most of the cops left because they were blocking us from getting out. Man what a night! One that I wont forget about for a while... Night night big black man! If you never got the chance for your mother to tell you to go to your room and think about what you did, then tonight is the night.
PS. Don't come out till there is a smile on your face.

Too much fun to keep track of ♥
4 Flights in 2 weeks. This month has been CRAZY! I have been to AZ and back then to UT and back, now I am on the last stretch before going to UT again. Arizona was so much fun. I love being around family and playing with my niece and nephews!
When in Utah Summer and i of course had to go Black Friday shopping. while at the mall Summer wanted to enter in every raffle, to test her luck. And guess what? me, being the one who was not that into it, was the one who won something. A PSP3000 (up for sale by the way)!
Since being home I have gone to 2 basketball games also. One Cal game and a Warriors game. Both super fun! At the Warriors game we got a fan photo, heaven knows I am not going to buy it but here is the link. http://www.printroom.com/ViewGalleryPhoto.asp?evgroupid=0&userid=warriorsfanphotos&gallery_id=2371270&image_id=12&pos=9&image_id=12&pos=9 (Last picture on the first row of pictures)
After, when we were walking to the car, we found a little crepe store! Mmm, delicious! I got the chicken, pesto, and sun dried tomato panini.
Last Saturday, Kate Baldree and I were bored and had a sleepover! We made caramel apples. Oh boy was it fun making them! I love to do spontaneous things like this. We had learned a little trick, to quickly drop them in boiling water to take the wax off, and oh man was that disturbing. i never will eat an apple the same and not think of all of the wax that I am eating. This is how they looked after they were done.
This is how they looked after they sat out while we slept!
We learned a great lesson... put them in the fridge once you are done making them so the caramel sets and you don't get all of the goodness that falls to the bottom. As you can see we put them in cups so they would fall back in place, yeah right! All of the goodness just fell off and onto the table. Some of them we were able to save, but the others we just gave to family to eat because we could not give those hideous things away, even though they did taste good.
Tomorrow is the charity ball, man I am excited, bought a new dress and am in the dancing mood! I will post pictures after.
9 days till I see my family again : )
13 days till the family celebrates Christmas all together!
26 days till Winter semester 2011 starts : }

So close.. But yet so far
The time is quickly approaching that I board a plane to go to ARIZONA! I get to see Kyle, Alyssa, Spencer, and little Kelsi! I am so excited. Oh yeah and I am posting this from my new computer! Yes I said new! Well, at least it is new to me. My aunt and uncle have many laptops, and so once this one was done getting fixed then they gave it to me. I am go grateful because my old one was not really working, this will make for a very smooth semester. Late nights in the kitchen on my computer instead of late nights at the library!
Well this is it! Lenovo G550

Who would have known?
After getting water at the Halloween dance and standing just chatting away, I feel a hard grasp on my arm and that can only mean one thing... A tall handsome man walked in the room and Amanda has caught a glimpse. After a while he comes up to us and asks us to take a picture for him, gladly we do and then after I am done taking the picture, we start talking for a little while. He said that he has grown up in Danville, where I currently am living, and is going to Stanford. We talk a little more and then politely say goodbye, and see ya later.
While I am still standing in that room, I overheard someone saying "Did you know that Mark Madsen is here tonight?" Oh My Gosh. I was just talking to Mark Madsen and I didn't even know it! I have grown up knowing of Mark Madsen, he was in my uncle's ward and in his Boy Scout troop, and went on scouting activities with my uncle and my brothers. Like 8 years ago I went to his parents house and had a stake activity where we swam in his pool went through their corn maze and stood in line to shake his hand and get a signed autograph picture of him, which is still currently in my bedroom at home.
After I hadoverheard that I went to go tell my friends who had no clue of him.I told them that he is a pro basketball player and has played for the LA Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Like they believed me. So i pulled out my phone googled him and proved them wrong! Then they were on a mission to go up and take a picture with him and talk to him. Then the adventure began. In the end this is what happened...

Rascal Flatts and Sara Evans
Here are some pictures form the Rascal Flatts concert that I went to last night with my aunt, uncle and cousin. It was supposed to be on the 8th of October but then got moved to last night because the band was sick. I don't know why but our seats got upgraded also! We originally had lawn tickets, but then got asked at will call if we would like a free upgrade! Heck yes we would!
So excited to see Rasal Flatts! |
Sara Evans was the opening singer, what a total surprise! |

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Good:
This is one of the first give aways they had at work. These are samples that they give out to their clients, but it ends up that they always have way too much, so we get it! And I think everyone knows I love FREE!
This was the second give away day! 10 packages of chocolate chips and chocolate (in the freezer by the way being saved for college), do you think I could be any happier? Well just see...
This is what I all Mega-Give-away day! I think this included: 9 packages of SlimFast snack bars, 7 Full bars, 9 packages of candy including Tootsie Rolls, Tootsie Pops, Dots, Frooties, and some other odds and end candies, 8 car air fresheners, 1 box of matches, 1 bag individual flossers, 1 package AA batteries, 4 cocoa butter Vaselines, 7 Dove hair products, 3 Suave hair products, 1 package cough drops, 1 baby Oragel plaque revealing gel, 1 Axe deodorant,12 girl Clinical Protection deodorants, and 1 Styrofoam cooler!
Bad:
- They asked me to stay at work longer which means I get to make more money!
- They asked me to do at least 30 min. of overtime a day at $22 an hour!
- The camera that I just bought! Canon S95!
- I am getting a bike, fully equip with everything I will need for it up at school, free of cost to me! Thanks Dad!
- I get lots of free stuff, for example...

Bad:
- I miss being home.
- My car smokes at every stop sign or stoplight when I get off of the freeway.
- My gas bill, $103 for the last 2 weeks!
- Overtime is really getting to me, 10 hour days make me really tired when I get home.
- The deer that is probably lying down next to the road with a broken leg or a really sore side, that I nudged last night at 1am getting off of the freeway. I saw it on the side of the road and said, "What the heck is that?" Then realized that it was a deer, standing next to the freeway. And right as I was passing it, going about 30 miles an hour, it decides to run right in front of me! can you believe it? It was standing right next to the freeway all calm until I decide to pass, then it was like it thought, "Oh i wonder what will happen, if i jump out in front of this car as it passes by?" Well I will tell you what will happen little deer! You will get hit! It wasn't that hard because I slowed down really fast as I saw it come out, but it just got a little tap from me. Sorry Bambi :(

California Bound
Just about a week and a half ago I found out that I gota job at Advantage Sales and Marketing in Plesanton, California. So after my family reunion last week, I followed my aunt Terrie out to the golden hills of California. One of my favorit thing about driving to and from California and Utah is "the Ball Tree". I do not know why this is my favorite part of the drive, but it has been ever since I was little. It took 14 hours to arrive in Danville, CA where I now stay with my aunt and uncle. (It took an extra 2 hours because my aunt had to stop at EVERY rest stop to go pee, and by every rest stop I am not exagerating)
My job is pretty nice (actually it is pretty boring and menotonous), I sit in an air conditioned room for 8.5 hours each day and look at I9's. They are the forms that employees fill out to verify that they are able to work in the US. If I was into identity theft this would be an awesome job! I have access to all of Walmart, Food Maxx, Sams Club, Suave, Dove, and many more company's employee information. I go into work at 7 am and get out at 3:30. So it means that I have a lot of time after work to play! I have spent way too mush on gas though, I fill up way too often and I have yet to get a pay check and won't for about 3 more weeks! I take a trip Danville to Plesanton, then from Plesanton to Danville everyday, and at least 2 a week I go to Concord and back. Way too much gas, and I need a paycheck now!

Long time no blog...
In the past 3 weeks much has gone on. First, school is out! For five months, and I am now living at home. This is a picture of some of the girls in the ward on one of our last spontaneous adventures, this one was at monkey rock at night.

Second, Mark and Summer got married on the 31 of July. (I have a new sister-in-law! And am loving it!)

Third, we are moving, Mom works in Salt Lake and Dad works in Layton which means a long commute for both of them. So, we will live in Layton about 6 min away from Dad's work and about a half hour away from Mom's work. Also our family got very small in the past week. Kyle, Alyssa, Spencer, and Kelsi, who all lived with us here, now are in Arizona for Med. School, and Mark got Married. Leaving us with Me, Mom, Dad, and Skye (who will be leaving on a mission on September 1st to be at home). In all things are opposition... the night after Marks wedding, everyone left, the Kyle Jackman Family, and Mark. (And to think just the previous night everyone was together and happy for the wedding.) Which means I am home alone, and very, very lonely a lot. I have gotten things done though, I have caught up on my sleep since I sleep in the basement now, because it is too hot to sleep up stairs in my room. And must I add, the basement (in the room that I sleep) has no windows, so I never know what time of day it is. Example, I went to bed around 11:30 last night, woke-up around 7, because my bladder was telling me I needed to get up. Then I laid back down thinking I would wake up in about 30 min. Little did I know that I would wake up at 10:45 to a call from Janae, wanting to bring Levi over to play.
Also I have gotten my room cleaned out. There were three piles in my room, keep, DI, and trash. Man, I am glad to have 1 trash bag full of garbage gone, and 1 big box of DI things gone. My room is actually really clean now.
And now I am counting down the days till my cousin Jacob comes up here. I am glad to say that he is one of my best friends. Growing up I could not say that, we were always fighting, and trying to one up each other. But now we have become very good friends and I am glad. When he comes up here, he is coming to stay! To go to BYU, which will only be about 1 hour and 15 min from my house, so we will be partying it up all the time! also his family and him are coming up to our Jackman family reunion (it is not their side of the family, but we are still so happy that they will be coming).

Oh the joy of family adventures...
It is always an adventure when our family tries to do something fun and a little bit wild. First we couldn't decide between Seven Peaks or floating down the Provo river. As a family we decided that it would probably more cost friendly if we floated the Provo river. Then there was the task of finding tubes. We had four, then Brad and Janae found two from their friends in their ward. Kyle and Alyssa then bought 2 tubes, one that could fit 2 people, and one that was just a tire inner tube. Later we found out that if we did not have life jackets we could get in trouble, so, Dad being the hero, went to Big 5 and bought the beautiful bright orange life jackets.
Being Jackmans though we had got a late start. We had planned on getting in the River around 3 or so. But with all of the commotion we go on the road around 3:15. When we were almost there we called Kyle to see where he was at. He was still 20 min away at his in-laws in Spanish Fork. He then called us to say that one of the tubes that he had just purchased was missing the part that you hook up an air compressor to, to fill it up. So, they just decided that they would share a tube. Once everyone had arrived at the destination it was time to get in the water. Me, being the adventurous one in the family, jumped right in, ready to have fun. But, it wasn't very much fun when I realized that I was the only one on my tube and moving, and I couldn't find a way to stop. And it was super cold. Everyone was screaming because the water was not desirable to immerse your body in. I was already far ahead of the others and all by myself. So Brad and Janae jumped on theirs and followed me. Then I look back and see everyone coming! Oh what joy, I was not on my own anymore.
I don't know how, but somehow they had all gotten in front of me so could see what had happened next. There was a big tree sticking out into the river right where the river makes a sharp turn which forces you into the tree. Kyle and Alyssa (who were on a very lopsided tube together), were the first to enter into this mess. I saw them go under the branches and Kyle and the tube popped out of the water (separately) but I could still see Alyssa hanging on to the branch for dear life. Kyle was screaming at her to let go of the branch because it was just making the whole situation more difficult. Then Skye somehow got stuck in the branches also, lost his tube and had to chase after it. I could not stop to see the rest of the situation but I could hear Alyssa struggling. Also I could hear a man who was sitting in his backyard say to Kyle "this is going on Youtube!" He had a camera and knew that that was the spot where everyone got stuck. How cruel! (we will have to check for it on Youtube later this week).
While floating down the water I saw Kyles sandal floating down the river and I grabbed it, and then saw the other one, but it was too far away to reach. I managed to stop next to a campsite where a grandpa and grandson were fishing. Brad and Janae had stopped with me also. I told them I was going to wait for Kyle and Alyssa to see if they were okay. So, Janae and Brad were on their way again, along with Mark, Summer and Skye. Sitting there on a step to this family's camp, I was getting a little worried. I had been sitting there for about 10 min, and I had decided that they had gotten out and decided to walk back or something, so, I asked the man if he had a cell phone and if I could borrow it. Reminding you I was all alone and I had the thought that no one was going to be coming up behind, to float down with me. Right as the man went inside to get his phone I saw Kyle and Alyssa rounding the corner. Yelling back to the man "Never mind, they are here, I gotta go!" I jumped on my tube just in time to float down with them. Hallelujah! Prayers do work, and everyone was safe.
About 5 min of floating passed by and just then we saw Skye on the side of the riverbank. We tried to stop but it was hard. We were freezing cold and I could not feel my bottom or my toes. In the event of stopping, I watched Kyle struggle to get out of the water. He had no shoes and his feet were almost frozen. I watched as he did the army crawl out of the water because his feet were numb and had no feeling. Once we got out, Skye had told us that he was freezing, and he thought he had the first stages of Hypothermia and so he got out to do push-ups and curls in order to warm up. Now that we were all out and trying to warm up we decided to start walking because the river was not fun anymore. In our event of walking I remembered that Kyle only had one sandal and offered him mine. He denied, but I could tell that it hurt to walk with only on shoe on, on the rocks that were on the trail. So, I suggested that he use my life jacket as a sandal and strap it on. So, in need of relief from the pain he put his tube down on the grass and strapped the life jacket on. When done, he went to pick up the tube, but before he touched it, it popped. So, he picked up the popped tube and we made our way. Kyle looked so funny, but it was worth it. It ended up that we stopped about every 20 steps in order to re-adjust the makeshift shoe.
Making our way up the trail we noticed, a hill and Mark was at the top. They had gotten out of the river to wait for us, and they sent Mark out as the "Search and Rescue" guy to come look for us. We still has a little while to go, to get to the other members of our group, and the life jacket shoe was not working. So we tore off a part of the popped inner tube and the rope that we had to make a shoe, but that wasn't working either. So Kyle just stuck his whole foot into the rest of the inner tube. While walking to get to Brad, Janae, and Summer, we walked past a lovely bee farm! How delightful. Once we realized that it was a bee farm we started running.
Once we had reached the group, who was sitting on the bank of the river, Brad had informed us that a lady had come by and told them that there were government people patrolling the trail, and if anyone was found more than 3 feet away from the river they would give everyone a $100 dollar ticket no matter what your sad story was. There was no way that we could walk next to the river. There was either bushes and trees or a cliff. So, if any of the police came by they would give out 8 tickets, $100 each. Man were we worried! So we got on our way walking to where we had planned to get out of the river. we could see in the distance that there was the bridge that we had parked by but, there were also a lot of people surrounding the train tracks. As we approached we saw that there was a horse on the train tracks with a bandage on his foot and there were the police that the lady was talking about. Lucky for us the police were otherwise occupied with horse so we snuck by, not wanting to get a ticket.
We all jammed in Brad's van, with our tubes and headed off to Vivian park to meet Mom and Dad who were babysitting the kids, and who had a picnic ready for us. It was all good from then on out. Well except for one thing... I took of my shoes and headed over to the table to get a nice big glass of water and then all of a sudden I feel a nice wet squish in between my toes! Dog Poop, how awesome...

The first of many to come!
Thanks to Kacie, my roommate, I have had a new interest in blogging. Her blog is so cute and I wanted one just like it. I have loved this semester and I am a little sad that it is almost over. The one thing I will miss the most about this semester is the wonderful roommates I have been blessed with.

Thanks girls for making my first year of college so fun!
Random thought of the day: I have spent about 3 hours of my precious time trying to figure out this thing and how to make it cute. Man, time flies when you are having fun!
